ScriptScreen strips the POS terminal down to its essential function: fetching data from a server and displaying it on a touchscreen. By replacing the full computer with a Raspberry Pi or ESP32 microcontroller, the device eliminates hard drives, cooling systems, OS overhead, and the maintenance that comes with them.

The device connects to an existing business server via Wi-Fi, renders live data — menus, payment info, stock levels — through a clean UI, and accepts touch input. No OS to crash, no hard drive to fail, no fan to break. Setup is plug-in and connect.

ScriptScreen targets restaurants, retail stores, cafes, and payment terminals where full PC-based systems are overkill and tablets are overpriced — delivering the same display functionality at a fraction of the cost, with near-zero maintenance over its lifetime.
